Our story: built by practitioners, for practitioners
We’ve been in your shoes, so we know how personal your practice is.
The Zanda journey began when our co-founder, Damien, and his wife launched their own private psychology practice. They quickly realized that existing practice management platforms lacked the tools needed to streamline administrative tasks and create a smooth experience for clients, staff, and practitioners. Wanting a better solution, Damien teamed up with his tech-savvy brother, Paul, to develop a more efficient platform.
They started by reimagining the software Damien’s clinic had been using, rebuilding it to incorporate more features and intuitive workflows. The result was “Power Diary,” a platform that blended Damien’s hands-on experience in running a successful clinic with Paul’s 25 years of expertise in building and scaling technology solutions.
In 2024, “Power Diary” was rebranded as “Zanda” to better reflect our all-in-one practice management focus — from “Z” to “A” (and back again)! Zanda combines our passion for empowering health practices with purpose-built technology that makes practice management easy and enjoyable.
Meet Bizzy: the bee with a mission.
When Zanda set out to make practice management easier, Bizzy showed up as the perfect partner: hardworking, energetic, and endlessly helpful. Bizzy is the Zanda mascot — the little bee buzzing behind the scenes to handle the busy work for you. Energetic and always looking for ways to make life easier, Bizzy represents our commitment to simple, stress-free practice management.

Damien Adler
Co-Founder & Head of Customer Success
Damien has been a registered psychologist since 2003 and has a background in health administration, previously holding senior positions in the public health sector. Damien and his wife (also a psychologist) built a busy group private practice, where he first discovered his passion for using technology to make life easier for health practitioners.
Damien is known publicly through his 10+ years of regular guest segments on ABC Radio, as a public speaker and corporate trainer, and as a contributor for various TV, radio, and print outlets.
Damien enjoys mountain biking, traveling, pretending to be a handyman, and exploring near and far with his wife and daughter.

Co-Founder & CTO
Paul is a seasoned tech entrepreneur. He previously started a computer support business (with $200 and his bedroom as an office), which he then developed into Australia’s largest tech support company.
Paul has made the BRW Fast 100 list three times (100 fastest growing companies in Australia) and won the Victorian Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Telstra & Victorian Government Small Business of Year Award, The Age Best IT Business award, and the My Business Magazine Young Guns in Business Award. He has served as a member of the Federal Government Small Business Advisory Council for five years and has been featured in various publications.
Paul enjoys cycling, high-altitude mountaineering (he’s previously summited Mt Everest), skiing, and having adventures with his wife and two children.
